Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required with CT certification or Master’s preferred.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

Description: 21 CCLC Program Site Coordinator

Reports to: School Principal, Chief Academic Officer, and Executive Director of Finance

Broad Function: Oversee all aspects of the 21CCLC program, including students, staff, communication, materials, programming, vendors, volunteers, transportation, logistics and compliance with the 21st CLCC funding grant, under the direction of the School Principal, Chief Academic Officer.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Manage daily operations of the afterschool program and work with partners to sustain the greater community learning center model

for 21 CCLC;

  • Oversee all programming logistics;
  • Develop and schedule after school activities that are focused on academic support, STEM, nutrition, health & wellness and social emotional learning;
  • Track daily attendance and work with grant support specialist and data coordinator to complete reports;
  • Coordinate staff and tutors to deliver homework support, small group tutoring, and enrichment activities;
  • Arrange for daily snacks with food services through the Afterschool Snack Programand MPS Food Service department, ensuring accurate counts for reports and compliance;
  • Manage site technology and digital communications, including Class Dojo or Parent Square communication apps, G SUITE for email, google sites, docs, slides, sheets and meet/zoom features;
  • Schedule and lead staff and program meetings;
  • Communicate with building teachers, staff, parents and district leadership to ensure student success and meet program goals and objectives;
  • Attend grant meetings as required by MPS, CREC and the CT State Department of Education;
  • Attend and participate in Professional Development offered by MPS, CREC and 21 CCLC program partners and vendors;
  • Maintain the Digital Compliance Binder and other grant requirements;
  • Other duties as assigned by the School Principal, Chief Academic Officer, and Executive Director of Finance.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • CT Teaching Certification and/or Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Previous afterschool program management experience preferred.
  • Previous grant writing or management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of research related to SRBI and Best Practices in Instructional Strategies.
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with individuals, teams and groups (teachers, parents, administrators and support staff).
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology and digital resources.
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor technical issues.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred, training within 45 days of hire required.
Schedule & Salary

Program starts September 28, 2026 with program start up required. Hours and schedule vary by school site, approximately 10 hours per week from M-Th, 3:25-5:45 pm. Additional hours for program administration required per week beyond operating hours. Start up hours will be required for program design, start-up and recruitment. The position is grant-funded.

Certified Staff or Non-Certified Staff: $25 - $31.93 per hour.

  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift or carry objects less than thirty (30) pounds
  • Ability to perform manipulative skills such as writing and typing
  • Ability to see and read objects closely, as wiring, labels on equipment, reading/proofreading a report, using a computer monitor, filing and/or retrieving information from a filing system and verifying the accuracy of financial information
  • Ability to hear normal sounds with background noise, as in using a telephone or radio, distinguish verbal communication and communicate through speech, including using a radio
  • Ability to learn and acquire an understanding of new information, methodologies and techniques and how they apply to school goals and operations
  • Memory adequate to perform tasks/assignments given over long periods of time
  • Ability to concentrate on a task for more than 60 minutes
