Job summary

Textron Specialized Vehicles in Augusta, Georgia is seeking a 2027 Trade Compliance Intern to gain hands-on exposure to international trade regulations and customs compliance.

You will shadow trade compliance professionals, help develop procedures, and collaborate with multiple teams to gather required data. This 10-week internship offers mentorship, real project work, and exposure to trade-related processes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree in business, economics, logistics, finance, engineering, supply chain management or related fields.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and export/import compliance.
• Interest in international trade regulations and customs compliance.

Responsibilities

• Research, interpret, and apply international trade regulations for movement of goods.
• Develop, maintain, and streamline trade compliance procedures and practices.
• Shadow trade compliance personnel to learn requirements for international shipping.
• Collaborate with Textron Specialized Vehicles personnel to obtain required trade data.
• Assist with collection and maintenance of Free Trade Agreement certifications and qualifications.
• Support import/export or other trade-related audit activities.

Responsibilities

Research, interpret, and apply international trade regulations, policies, and procedures related to the movement of goods out of, into, or between the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and the European Union to ensure Customs compliance.

Develop, maintain, and streamline trade compliance procedures, policies, and practices.

Shadow trade compliance personnel to learn the requirements for international shipping and to support daily import and export transactions.

Collaborate with all levels of Textron Specialized Vehicles personnel, businesses, departments, and suppliers to obtain required trade related data.

Assist with the collection and maintenance of Free Trade Agreement certifications and perform Free Trade Agreement qualifications.

Support import/export or other trade related audit activities.
