Job summary

Textron Specialized Vehicles is offering a 10-week Summer Internship in Augusta, GA for a Strategic Sourcing Intern. You will assist with supplier selection, RFQs, and cost-reduction initiatives while supporting transition activities between suppliers and in-house production.

The role requires pursuing a bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field and strong MS Office skills; SAP preferred. Mentorship and paid stipend are provided.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to manage global base.
• Experience with Microsoft Office; SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in sourcing activities related to new product launches and current product changes.
• Assist with selecting and managing suppliers.
• Perform make vs. buy analysis to determine optimum supply chain.
• Support supplier transition processes to move work to other suppliers or external partners.
• Address supplier delivery and quality issues with Materials and Quality teams.
• Coordinate RFQ packages with the supply base.
• Contribute to supplier rationalization efforts.
• Assist with cost-reduction efforts as part of VA/VE activities.
• Assist Accounts Payable to ensure timely supplier payments.

Responsibilities

Participate in sourcing activities related to new product launches and current product changes.

Assist with selecting and managing suppliers.
