Job summary

Textron offers a 10-week Trade Compliance internship in Augusta, GA, designed to provide hands-on experience in international trade and customs compliance. Interns will research regulations, assist with FTAs, and collaborate with teams across Textron Specialized Vehicles.

The program emphasizes mentorship, training, and meaningful work, with a prep for future careers in trade & compliance. Candidates pursuing related degrees will gain practical exposure and related supporting experiences.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor's degree in business, economics, logistics, finance, engineering, or related fields.
• Strong familiarity with MS Office and compliance concepts.

Responsibilities

• Research, interpret, and apply international trade regulations to ensure customs compliance.
• Develop, maintain, and streamline trade compliance procedures, policies, and practices.
• Shadow trade compliance personnel to learn requirements for international shipping and support daily import/export transactions.
• Collaborate with Textron Specialized Vehicles personnel, businesses, departments, and suppliers to obtain required trade data.
• Assist with collection and maintenance of Free Trade Agreement certifications and perform FTAs.
• Support import/export or other trade-related audit activities.

Responsibilities

• Research, interpret, and apply international trade regulations, policies, and procedures related to the movement of goods out of, into, or between the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and the European Union to ensure Customs compliance.
• Develop, maintain, and streamline trade compliance procedures, policies, and practices.
• Shadow trade compliance personnel to learn the requirements for international shipping and to support daily import and export transactions.
• Collaborate with all levels of Textron Specialized Vehicles personnel, businesses, departments, and suppliers to obtain required trade related data.
• Assist with the collection and maintenance of Free Trade Agreement certifications and perform Free Trade Agreement qualifications.
• Support import/export or other trade related audit activities.

Qualifications

• Software Knowledge: Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) export/import compliance, drafting or blueprint reading)
