Job summary

Civil Design Inc invites motivated Civil Engineering students to join our internship program. Under supervision, you'll assist in surveying and engineering to support a variety of design projects, gaining practical experience on real-world site work in Louisville, KY.

Ideal candidates are working toward a degree in Civil Engineering, have basic knowledge of surveying, drafting, and design practices, and can commit 30–40 hours per week. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a full or part time student seeking a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of Civil Engineering fundamentals, surveying, drafting, and general civil engineering design/construction practices.
• Ability to assist in the field or on job sites.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff in a team environment.
• Problem solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new concepts.

Civil Design, Inc. (CDI) is a multi-disciplined civil engineering firm offering civil site, structural, land surveying, and GIS services. Since its founding in 1996, our team has grown to over 150 team members with six locations. We operate in three states serving our six service lines - Infrastructure + Analytics, Site, Structures, Survey, Transportation, and Water Resources. The anticipated base hourly range for this position is $22-24/hr. Compensation will vary based upon relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
