PACCAR's Peterbilt Motors Company in Denton, TX seeks an Industrial Designer/Styling Intern to join the Industrial Design team. You will work on advanced concept truck design exploration and develop personal design concepts for your portfolio.

This internship offers hands-on experience with Future Class 8 truck design, collaboration with Design, Engineering, and clay modelers, and exposure to VR/3D tools. Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Transportation or related

Qualifications

• The candidate must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's in Transportation or related industrial design.
• Design exploration and creative solutions sketches focused on Future Class 8 Trucks.
• Communication and strategic interface with Design, Engineering and Clay modelers.
• 3D surface modeling (Alias and Sub D modeling), Gravity Sketch and VR sessions.
• Photoshop ideation, sketching and rendering relevant and original design solutions.
• Strong professionalism with enthusiasm and punctuality, courtesy, and positivity.
• Craft detailed insightful emails, Teams usage, competitive benchmarking via web.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with emphasis on visual ideation.
• Multi-tasking.
• Self-starter and Resourceful.
• Analytical.
• Interest in collecting, analyzing, and reporting on tests.

Requisition Summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an internship for students currently enrolled in college. This opening is for aIndustrial Designer/Styling Intern to add to our Industrial Design team in Denton, Texas.

Job Responsibilities

This position will be working on various projects and reports to include but not limitedto:

• Advanced concept truck design exploration.
• Personal industrial design concepts for student portfolio and professional growth.

Required Qualifications

The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters in Transportation, or a related industrial design program.
