Peterbilt Motors Company in Denton, Texas is seeking a Design Engineer Intern to support the Powertrain Aftertreatment and Exhaust team. You will work on designs, testing and releases for production, including DEF tank development and validation efforts.

Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering or related program. Strong MS Office, communication and analytical skills are desired as you contribute to multiple projects and develop real-world engineering experience.

• Assist with the build of test properties and support validation efforts.
• Support concurrent powertrain and exhaust program launches.

Requisition Summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an internship for students currently enrolled in college. This opening is for a Design Engineer Intern to add to our Powertrain Aftertreatment and Exhaust team in Denton, Texas.

Job Responsibilities

This position will be working on various projects and reports to include but not limited to:

• Supporting new program exhaust and aftertreatment system related designs, testing and release for production
• Development of a new Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) tank and delivery system to the aftertreatment system
• Assisting with the build of test properties and supporting associated validation efforts
• Other tasks as needed to support concurrent powertrain and exhaust program launches

Required Qualifications

The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering or a related program.
