Job summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR company, invites students enrolled in engineering programs to join the Future Electrification engineering team in Denton, Texas, as a Design Engineer Intern. You will contribute to various projects, gain hands-on experience, and work closely with engineers on design and validation activities.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an engineering degree, proficient in Microsoft Office, and have strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering or related program.
• Strong communication and Microsoft Office skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist product development engineers with design updates and component/assembly drawings.
• Support validation and pilot truck build activities.
• Assist with validation and testing buck assembly.
• Prepare engineering documentation and status reports.
• Contribute to Six Sigma documentation for quality control.
• Collaborate in a small-team environment.

Requisition Summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an internship for students currently enrolled in college. This opening is for a Design Engineer Intern to add to our Future Electrification engineering team in Denton, Texas.

Job Responsibilities

This position will be working on various projects and reports to include but not limitedto:

• Assisting product development engineers
  • Product design updates
  • Component & assembly drawings
  • Engineering & technical documentation
• Validation & pilot truck build activities
• Validation & testing buck assembly
• Work in a collaborative small-team environment
• Six Sigma documentation to ensure high quality results
• Engineering activity & status reports

Required Qualifications

The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in an Engineering or a related program.
