Overview

This unique internship offers a rotational experience across four critical departments at Hartford Funds: Operations, Risk, IT, and Fund Treasury. Interns will gain exposure to transfer agent and fund oversight, risk frameworks, and technology infrastructure while contributing to meaningful projects that support business operations and investor outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or contribute to functional and cross-functional initiatives involving Operations, Risk, IT, and Fund Treasury to support goals such as improving operational execution, strengthening risk frameworks, and driving technology-enabled process enhancements.
• Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements, including workflow automation and process updates.
• Support data-driven initiatives through analysis related to risk assessments, transfer agent activities, fund accounting, and IT operations.
• Participate in team meetings, project planning sessions, and status updates to gain exposure to strategic and operational priorities.
• Shadow team members to learn key processes, systems, and tools across departments.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and professional manner, as part of team efforts.
• Engage in intern learning sessions and other development opportunities.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$20.00 - $25.00
