Job summary

Textron is offering a 2027 Summer Intern position in Johnson City, TN for a Continuous Improvement role. The internship provides hands-on project work, mentorship, and opportunities to contribute to manufacturing enhancements with Bell and Textron teams.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an industrial engineering degree (preferred) or mechanical engineering, have completed 60 credits by June 2026, and can commit to the full 10-week program (June 1–Aug 7, 2026) with a 3.0 GPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in industrial engineering (preferred) or mechanical required.
• Minimum 60 college credit hours completed by internship start (June 1, 2026) or prior Bell internship experience.
• Able to complete the entire 10 weeks of the internship (June 1–August 7, 2026).
• 3.0 GPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage in project-based work focused on continuous improvement initiatives.
• Complete activities as needed to satisfy management directives.
• Duties may vary depending upon placement within the organization.

Day in the Life of a Continuous Improvement Intern

We are looking for curious, adaptable, and self-driven individuals with a passion to innovate. Bring your experience and ideas to help us ensure the growth of our company by supporting the manufacturing and creation of our aircraft. No matter where you are in the company you are critical to the success of Bell. As a Continuous Improvement Intern at Bell, you can expect to provide product support, identify process improvements and work with Bell's manufacturing teams to deploy new solutions that allow greater operational efficiency. Responsibilities Include engaging in project-based work focused on continuous improvement initiatives. Complete activities as needed to satisfy management directives.
