Job summary

Spectrum is offering a paid, full-time 11-week internship for students pursuing degrees in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or Computer Information Systems. The program runs May 26 through August 6, 2027 and includes mentorship, professional development, and networking opportunities.

You will work across two teams—your department and intern cohort—60% involvement in projects and 40% in development activities, with travel to local events as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be a rising junior with an expected graduation date between Dec 2028 to May 2029.
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a bachelor’s degree
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
  • Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program

Responsibilities

  • Translate customer and business needs into clear requirements, user stories, or specs for engineering and design
  • Query and analyze product/customer data (SQL, dashboards) to inform feature decisions
  • Track and report on key metrics for owned features (conversion rate, AOV, cart abandonment, etc.)
  • Maintain and prioritize backlog items in Jira/Linear/Asana Map and document the residential customer journey, including delivery, scheduling, and installation touchpoints
  • Support prioritization discussions using structured frameworks (RICE, MoSCoW, etc.)
  • Partner with engineering, design, and operations to keep projects moving and unblock issues
  • Assist in defining success criteria and monitoring results for A/B tests or feature launches
  • Turn ambiguous problems into concrete next steps or action items Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in clear, digestible formats

What You Can Expect In This Role

As a Spectrum intern, you’ll spend the summer working alongside two teams: your respective department and your intern cohort.

Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on internship experiences that include a kickoff conference, professional development sessions and networking activities, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects and final presentations.

This experience is designed to help you explore your interests, expand your network and leave with a deeper understanding of both your field and the impact of our business.

Internship responsibilities may include:
