At Regeneron, we use science and innovation to develop life-changing medicines for people with serious diseases. Regeneron is currently seeking multiple 2027 Interns in the Automation and Reliability Engineering teams of Regeneron Industrial Operations and Product Supply (IOPS) Facilities & IT department. These groups keep the equipment and control systems used in biopharmaceutical manufacturing running safely and reliably. These positions offer the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.
Location: Rensselaer / Troy, NY
Timeframe: Our internship positions are full-time and onsite from May/June-August
Pay: Intern and Co-op pay ranges are determined by level of education (year in school) and degree program. The hourly rate range for these locations is: $17.90-$25.50 per hour.
Every medicine Regeneron makes depends on equipment and control systems that run reliably and safely. These teams design, improve, and maintain those systems. Projects include supporting process automation improvements (such as reviewing control systems and writing engineering design documents, technical evaluations, and test plans aligned with GAMP 5), assessing how critical equipment is and how often it should be maintained or calibrated, evaluating spare parts and equipment rebuilds, and working with equipment vendors. You'll learn how engineering work is documented and controlled in a regulated manufacturing environment (for example, through change control), and you may help troubleshoot equipment in support of manufacturing operations. Familiarity with PLCs, instrumentation, or control systems is helpful but not required; technical aptitude and a willingness to learn matter more. Expect to follow safety, quality, and gowning requirements in manufacturing areas.
