At Regeneron, we use science and innovation to develop life‑changing medicines for people with serious diseases. Regeneron is currently seeking multiple 2027 Interns in Downstream Purification and Process Sciences teams of Regeneron Industrial Operations and Product Supply (IOPS) Process Sciences department. This group develops and runs the manufacturing‑scale processes used to grow and purify Regeneron's commercial biologic products. These positions offer the opportunity to contribute to a fast‑growing, science‑driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.
When&where: Location: Rensselaer / East Greenbush, NY Timeframe: Our internship positions are full‑time and onsite from May/June‑August Pay: Intern and Co‑op pay ranges are determined by level of education (year in school) and degree program. The hourly rate range for these locations is: $17.90–$25.50 per hour.
Once cells produce medicine, they need to be separated from everything else in the batch and purified to an extremely high standard. You’ll work on the techniques that do this — primarily chromatography (a method of separating molecules) and filtration, including ultrafiltration/diafiltration (used to concentrate the medicine and move it into its final solution). Projects range from running small‑scale lab experiments (for example, testing in‑line sensors on filtration systems or preparing chromatography solutions in‑line), to automating lab workflows with liquid‑handling robots, to analyzing historical manufacturing and lab data (for example, buffer pH and conductivity trends, or how downstream process variability affects product quality) to understand how process parameters affect product quality. Some projects are heavily lab‑based; others involve data analysis, coding, and statistical tools. Some projects use statistical modeling — such as design of experiments and multivariate models that link in‑line sensor signals to lab measurements — and coding to create data visualizations and reports. An interest in process problem‑solving is more important than prior industry experience.
Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Statistics/Data Science
