Job summary

PND Engineers in Anchorage, Alaska, is offering a summer internship for self-motivated engineering students. You will gain exposure across site civil, transportation, structural, coastal, marine, water resources, or geotechnical disciplines, with hands-on tasks from drawings to field inspections.

Participants commit to 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, and will work under the guidance of experienced engineers, translating classroom knowledge into real-world projects while preparing field reports

Qualifications

• Have completed at least their sophomore year in an ABET-accredited engineering program (juniors/seniors preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing or producing drawings and calculations.
• Conduct fieldwork such as inspections and studies.
• Assist in preparation and assembly of field reports and data.

Qualifications:

We focus our opportunities for self-motivated students who:

• Have completed at least their sophomore year in an ABET-accredited engineering program (college juniors and seniors preferred).
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively.
• Can commit to a 40-hour weekly schedule during the summer. Office hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.
• Can commit to occasional field work, which may involve out of town travel. Fieldwork may involve some overtime, which pays at 1.5 times your hourly rate.
• Include a copy of their school transcript with their application.

Compensation:

• PND Engineers offers competitive hourly pay, ranging from $20 to $30, based on your experience (DOE), along with paid holidays
