Job summary

PND Engineers, Inc. in Juneau, Alaska offers a summer internship for engineering students.

You will gain broad exposure to civil engineering across site civil, transportation, structural, coastal, marine, water resources, or geotechnical disciplines. You will actively participate in hands-on projects, review or produce drawings and calculations, and conduct fieldwork such as inspections and data collection.

Qualifications

• Sophomore year in ABET-accredited engineering program (juniors/seniors preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration.
• Commit to a 40-hour weekly summer schedule (Mon–Fri, 8–5).
• Occasional field work with possible out-of-town travel; overtime at 1.5× rate.
• Include transcript with application.

Responsibilities

• Review or produce drawings and calculations as part of projects.
• Conduct fieldwork such as inspections and studies.
• Assist in preparation and assembly of field reports and data.

Qualifications:

We focus our opportunities for self-motivated students who:

• Have completed at least their sophomore year in an ABET-accredited engineering program (college juniors and seniors preferred).
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively.
• Can commit to a 40-hour weekly schedule during the summer. Office hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.
• Can commit to occasional field work, which may involve out of town travel. Fieldwork may involve some overtime, which pays at 1.5 times your hourly rate.
• Include a copy of their school transcript with their application.

Compensation:

• PND Engineers offers competitive hourly pay, ranging from $20 to $30, based on your experience (DOE), along with paid holidays
