Job summary

Textron Specialized Vehicles in Georgia offers a paid, 10-week summer internship focused on sourcing, supplier management, and supply chain optimization. You will work on real projects alongside experienced professionals to build practical skills for your career in operations and procurement.

As an intern, you will participate in sourcing activities, assist with supplier selection, perform make-vs-buy analyses, and support transitions and cost-reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or a related field.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and SAP preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to manage global base.

Responsibilities

• Support sourcing activities for new product launches and changes.
• Assist with selecting and managing suppliers.
• Perform make vs. buy analysis to determine optimum supply chain.
• Coordinate RFQ packages with suppliers.
• Support supplier transition and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Assist Accounts Payable to ensure timely supplier payments.

Responsibilities

• Participate in sourcing activities related to new product launches and current product changes.
• Assist with selecting and managing suppliers.
• Perform make vs. buy analysis to determine optimum supply chain.
• Support supplier transition process to move work from one supplier to another or from in‑house factory to external supplier.
• Support Materials and Quality teams to address supplier delivery and quality issues.
• Coordinate RFQ (Request for Quote) packages with supply base.
• Contribute to supplier rationalization efforts.
• Assist with efforts to identify and implement cost reductions as part of VA/VE team.
• Assist Accounts Payable as needed to ensure suppliers are paid on time.
