Job summary

MKS is seeking a Quality Engineer Intern in Colorado to partner with Engineering, Operations and Inspection to improve processes and products. You will report to the Sr. Quality Manager and contribute to calibration, documentation, and documentation migration efforts.

The role involves developing inspection methods, auditing Quality and Manufacturing processes, and supporting new product releases. Travel is up to 0% and compensation includes hourly pay with holiday and vacation benefits.

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a Quality Engineer Intern at MKS you will partner with Engineering, Operations and Inspection to develop and improve processes and products. In this role, you will report to the Sr. Quality Manager.

You Will Make an Impact By:

• Developing calibration processes and documentation and migrating records to a new calibration database/program.


• Documenting inspection methods and procedures, in conjunction with the Quality Engineering and Inspection Team.


• Auditing Manufacturing and Quality System processes.


• Engaging with various groups to support new product release and improve products and processes.

Travel Requirements: Up to 0 % of Travel is required.

Skills You Bring:

• Pursuing an engineering degree, preferably in a mechanical or industrial related field.


• Preferably has completed at least Sophomore year.


• Excellent writing and communication skills. Technical writing experience desired.


• Ability to work well in a matrixed team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiar with reading mechanical drawings and GD&T terminology.


• Experience with metal fabrication, machining, welding, assembly or other manufacturing processes.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Physical Demand 1: Able to lift 40 lbs.


• Physical Demand 2: Able to work in a standing or sitting position 50% of the time.


• Working Condition 1: Working in a lab or office environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly Pay Range: $23.00 to $31.00 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

Benefits: MKS offers a benefits package for interns/co-ops working at least 20 hours per week, including 11 paid holidays, sick time, and 15 paid vacation days accrued on a biweekly basis.
