Job summary

MKS Inc. invites a Mechanical Engineering co-op for a 6-month assignment starting January 2027. You will partner with Engineering and Tech-Ops to contribute to testing, development and design of existing and new products. Reporting to the Director, Engineering (ME).

Offered hourly pay from $23.00 to $31.00, with benefits including holidays, sick time and paid vacation. This internship/co-op emphasizes hands-on learning and cross-divisional exposure as part of your professional growth.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program for Mechanical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
• Completed 2nd or 3rd year.

• Experience with SolidWorks/Inventor.

As a Mechanical Engineering Co-op at Valves and Integrated Process Solutions, you will partner with Engineering, Tech-Ops to contribute to the testing, development and design of existing and new products. In this role, you will report to the Director, Engineering (ME).

Intern / Co-op Program Overview

• 6 month co-op assignment within a functional area of MKS Inc. that provides students a comprehensive and engaging experience from before your program starts to after the program ends.

Physical Demands And Working Conditions

• Adept in working with hand tools.


• Max lifting req 30-40 lbs.


• Willingness to work in lab areas where high voltage and toxic gasses are used, and safety is mandatory

Compensation And Benefits

Hourly Pay Range: $23.00 to $31.00 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for this role.

Benefits: MKS offers a benefits package for interns/co-ops working at least 20 hours per week, including 11 paid holidays, sick time, and 15 paid vacation days accrued on a biweekly basis.
