Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah, GA seeks a Spring 2027 Flight Controls V&V Collegiate Intern to apply classroom learning to real-world challenges in the Flight Controls team.

You will design, verify, and certify hardware/software, develop verification tests, create data-analysis tools, and assist troubleshooting of in-service issues while gaining mentorship and networking opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled full-time in a bachelor or higher in AE, EE, ME or CE.
• Must be able to work on-site in Savannah, GA during Spring 2027.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher, listed on resume.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and certify hardware and software aspects of the Flight Control System equipment as a Verification Engineer.
• Write and execute system functional verification testing in an integrated lab environment.
• Develop tools used for fleet reliability data analysis and system troubleshooting.
• Support troubleshooting of in-service issues impacting component reliability.

What we do:

The Flight Controls team is responsible for the design, development, integration, and certification of the Gulfstream Flight Control Systems across all large cabin programs. These systems are complex in nature and are designed by a highly cross-functional team of exceptional engineers in the areas of complex electronics, software, electrical and hydraulic actuation. We are seeking candidates with broad skillsets and various levels of experience to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals to work right here at our Savannah facility.

What you will do:

• Develop, Design, and Certify hardware and software aspects of the Flight Control System equipment as a Verification Engineer

Education and Other Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelors degree or higher in one of the following disciplines:
  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Computer Engineering
• Must be available to work on-site in Savannah, GA during the Spring 2027 semester.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 (without rounding); must be listed on resume.

Desired Skills / Experience:

• Coding (MATLAB, Python)

Other Requirements:

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student at the time of application and actively pursuing a bachelors degree or higher.
• Completion of sophomore year is required. prior to the internship start date.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (without rounding); must be listed on resume.
• Rotation Requirements: Juniors 2 rotations; Seniors & Graduate Students 1 rotation.
• Minimum duration: 12 weeks (summer); 1416 weeks (spring and fall).
• Must be onsite; this is not a remote position.
• Must have reliable transportation.

This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
