Job summary

Schneider Electric’s Public Sector Solution Sales Development Program in the Dallas area is designed for recent graduates with a business-related degree. You’ll undergo a 10-week training immersion, shadowing senior sales members, and be paired with mentors to accelerate your first year.

After training, you may become a Business Development Representative or a Sales Account Executive, developing executive relationships and guiding clients through multi-stage, complex sales cycles.

  • Preferred degree in business, entrepreneurship, sales, marketing, communications, or similar background

  • Strong communication skills, ability to build rapport, solve problems and drive results
  • Comfortable with 60% travel within your market

Our Public Sector Solution Sales Development Program is designed for recent graduates with a degree in business, entrepreneurship, sales, marketing, communications, or similar background. This multi-functional program combines elements of sales, consulting, market development, communication, and customer engagement with a goal of producing well-equipped and successful sales executives.

Our Public Sector Sales team interacts with the highest levels of decision makers within public school districts, universities, hospitals, and municipalities to change the organizational energy and operational footprint for years to come. We provide highly sustainable, comprehensive energy and infrastructure projects that create more efficient and healthier buildings. We are looking for highly motivated graduates with an entrepreneurial mindset who can support our clients through a long-term sales cycle to develop a sustainable solution that will meet their needs.

What will you do?

10-week training immersion at our Dallas Hub and in the field: Shadowing of experienced sales team members in the field, comprehensive training on sales presentations, coaching from industry experts, networking, and in-depth training on our offers and solutions. You will also be paired with a mentor, coach, and manager who will all help guide you during your first year.

At the conclusion of training, you will be placed in either of the following positions:

  • Business Development Representative: Generate client interest through outreach, identify and build new executive level relationships, qualify opportunities, and attend conferences and industry networking events.
  • Sales Account Executive: Partner with clients at every stage of the sales cycle from identification of needs, project scope development, and the close of business in a complex solution sale. Collaborate with engineering, construction, project management, and client services team members to ensure customer satisfaction at every stage in the process.

What qualifications will make you successful?

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 74,400 - USD 111,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short‑term incentives. The compensation range for this full‑time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
