Job summary

Qualifications

• Enrolled in bachelor’s or master’s in computer engineering or computer science.
• Minimum GPA 3.1; transcripts required during review.
• Familiarity with Python scripting.
• Experience with software written in C.
• Experience with Linux development environments and tools.
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Git/Bitbucket) for version control.
• Familiarity with AI coding assistants and agentic development tools (OpenAI, Claude, Cline, Opencode).

Mercury Systems is seeking a motivated and innovative Software Engineer co-op eager to learn, contribute, and bring fresh ideas to our dynamic software team within the Programmable Solutions Group. In this hands-on role, you'll support Linux based software products that power Mercury's next generation of embedded high-performance computer modules.

Job Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in either computer engineering or computer science or a related technical discipline
• A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the review process
• Familiarity with a modern scripting language, like Python
• Experience with software written in the 'C' language
• Experience with Linux development environments and tools
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as GIT/BitBucket for version control
• Familiarity with modern AI coding assistants and agentic development tools (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, Cline, Opencode).
