Job summary

United Wholesale Mortgage is offering a 12-week internship in Pontiac, MI, focusing on mortgage servicing. You will join the Servicing team to support Customer Care after loan closing and learn the ins and outs of loan servicing in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

You will shadow senior leaders, have access to networking opportunities, and work 40 hours per week on-site from May 17 to August 6, gaining hands-on experience in borrower inquiries, payment processing, documentation, and

• Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 2027 or 2028 (current junior/senior status).
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, 40-hours a week, fully on-site in Pontiac, MI from May 17th - August 6th.
• Openness to learning, willingness to be coached, and ability to be flexible in a changing industry.
• Ability to thrive in a team environment.
• Strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist with borrower inquiries and payment processing through multiple channels (phone, secure messaging, online portal).
• Support the Customer Care team in resolving client service needs with clear explanations and positive communication.
• Help manage loan account information and documentation in servicing systems.
• Learn about escrow management, PMI tracking, and loan account maintenance.
• Contribute to maintaining professional standards in all client interactions.
• Support the team with administrative tasks related to loan servicing operations.

UWM's 12-week internship program offers an immersive experience with around 200 interns, job shadowing, access to senior leaders, and extensive networking opportunities. Join UWM's Servicing team and gain hands-on experience in mortgage operations. You'll support our Customer Care team in delivering exceptional service to borrowers after loan closing.
