UWM’s 12-week long summer internship program, located at our headquarters in Pontiac, MI, is an immersive experience that allows you gain industry knowledge & make a positive impact! Join our dynamic Human Resources team at United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) for an exciting and hands-on summer internship program. This program is designed for students pursuing a career in Human Resources, offering valuable experience and insight into the industry.

What You Will Be Doing

TALENT ACQUISITION

• Conducting phone screens each day and work closely with Recruiters to assess applicants
• Partnering with Recruiters to assist in full-cycle recruiting, consisting of in-person interviews, tours, etc.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and other HR databases
• Collaborating with team members on special projects aimed at improving talent acquisition and retention strategies

PAYROLL & PEOPLE ANALYTICS

• Auditing team member information that is stored in the HRIS platform, UltiPro
• Gathering, maintaining, and reporting metrics
• Tracking survey data with appropriate follow-up to ensure client satisfaction with our service
• Responsible for delegating AskTMS questions to the team, while communicating solutions with team members on questions they have with company policy.

• Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 2027 or 2028 (current junior/senior status)
• The ability to work Monday through Friday, 40-hours a week, fully on-site in Pontiac, MI from May 17th - August 6th
• An openness to learning, willingness to be coached, and ability to be flexible in our every-changing industry
