Responsibilities

• Support jobsite safety activities by assisting EHS professionals with safety inspections and job hazard analyses at active electrical construction sites.
• Assist with reviewing project activities for OSHA and environmental compliance.
• Collect and analyze safety data, identify trends, and maintain safety records.
• Assist with incident investigations and JHA/Safety Plan preparation.

The A-C Electric Company InternshipExperience Program gives students a hands-on, structured opportunityto learn how safety and environmental practices support electricalconstruction in both field and office settings. During this 10-weekinternship, you’ll work alongside Environmental Health & Safety(EHS) professionals to learn how safety programs are implemented andcontinuously improved across active projects. You’ll gain exposure tojobsite inspections, safety audits, environmental compliance, incidentinvestigations, and employee training while building professionalskills through mentorship, networking, and structured learning experiences.

What You’ll Do

As an Occupational Safety Intern, your keyresponsibilities will be:

• Supporting jobsite safety activities by assisting EHSprofessionals with safety inspections and job hazard analyses atactive electrical construction sites.
  
• Supporting safety and environmental compliance by helpingreview project activities for alignment with applicableOccupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements,environmental requirements, and Company safety policies.
  
• Collecting and analyzing safety information by trackingsafety data, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement,and helping maintain accurate safety and environmentalrecords.
  
• Supporting incident investigations and hazard prevention byassisting with root-cause analysis, corrective-action planning,and the preparation and review of Job Safety Plans, Job HazardAnalyses (JHAs), and Safety Inspection Reports.
  
• Supporting employee safety training by helping develop anddeliver safety training, toolbox talks, and other materials thatreinforce safe work practices.
  

During the 10-week program, you’ll also haveopportunities to:

• Complete a continuous-improvement project focused on asafety or environmental process and present your findings tosenior leadership at the end of the internship.
  
• Participate in Book Club assignments designed to strengthenleadership and communication skills.
  
• Learn from experienced professionals through mentorship andday-to-day collaboration with EHS managers, safety coordinators,project managers, and field teams.

*This range represents the pay A-C Electric Company reasonablyexpects to offer for this position. Actual pay may vary based onjob-related factors, including relevant experience, skills,education, certifications, and work location.

The general work environment involves sittingfor extended periods, standing, walking, typing, and occasionallifting of up to 50 lbs. Work is conducted primarily indoors, andnoise levels are typically low to medium.
