Job summary

Americo Life Insurance is hosting a 10-week, paid internship in Kansas City, offering exposure to multiple departments across the organization and its sister company Imperial PFS. Interns will work on real projects, gain professional development, and network with executives while contributing to content, marketing, and campaign initiatives.

Ideal candidates are self-directed, strong communicators, and ready to work full-time in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Must be currently pursuing a degree and remain enrolled in the program during the internship.
• Must be able to begin an internship in June in Kansas City.
• Freshman through Senior standing in a four-year institution pursuing a Bachelor’s degree.
• Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Onsite internship in Kansas City with limited housing spaces available.

Responsibilities

• Develop and assist with engaging content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
• Collaborate with Sales to align content with strategic goals and maintain brand voice.
• Create marketing collateral and copy for digital and traditional materials.
• Support compliance review of agent-created materials to ensure branding consistency.
• Participate in team meetings, campaign planning, and administrative tasks to deliver content on time.

This is a unique internship experience allowing you exposure and networking opportunities with our sister company, Imperial PFS

*Note: This is an onsite internship. Consequently, you must be in the Kansas City area to be considered. We do offer housing, however, the number of spaces are limited.

Over the 10 week program, you will participate in business projects, mentoring, professional development, and team-building activities designed to set you up for professional success.

Possible Responsibilities for the summer:

• Develop and assist with engaging content for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Collaborate with the Sales team to align content with strategic goals. Maintain content calendars and ensure consistent brand voice and visual identity. Monitor digital engagement and recommend improvements based on analytics and performance insights.
• Video Production & Editing:
  Assist in the planning, filming, and editing of video content for sales, training, onboarding, promotional campaigns, and internal initiatives. Ensure all videos meet brand standards and are optimized for web and social distribution.
• Marketing Collateral & Copywriting:
  Contribute to the development of both digital and traditional marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, email campaigns, and website content. Craft clear, engaging, and brand-consistent copy tailored to a variety of audiences and platforms.
• Compliance & Content Review:
  Support the compliance review process for agent-created materials and ensure all content aligns with Americo’s branding and advertising guidelines.
• Cross-Functional Support:
  Participate in team meetings, campaign planning, and brainstorming sessions. Assist with project coordination and administrative tasks to support timely content delivery and execution of marketing
