Mercury Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineering Intern for onsite work in Hudson, NH, from May to August 2027. The role supports automated test procedures, fault analysis, and process improvements in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.

You will work with production teams to develop and validate test solutions, design test fixtures, and maintain documentation while gaining hands-on experience with high-speed Processing Modules and production test stations.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in electrical engineering, computer engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum GPA 3.1; transcripts may be requested during review.
• Familiarity with Python for test automation.
• Basic understanding of electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, logic analyzers).
• Exposure to digital and analog circuit fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Linux development environments and tools.
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Git/Bitbucket for version control.
• Familiarity with AI tools to support engineering productivity and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Support development, debugging, and validation of automated test procedures on the production floor.
• Troubleshoot test failures and work with engineering on root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to process improvements to increase test yield, throughput, and efficiency.
• Help design, build, and qualify test fixtures and equipment for production tests.
• Analyze test data to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.
• Create and maintain test documentation, work instructions, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Design Engineering to resolve issues in real time.
• Assist in transitioning test processes from engineering to production during NPI.

Mercury Systems is seeking a motivated and innovative Manufacturing Test Engineering Intern eager to learn, contribute, and bring fresh ideas to our high-speed Processing Module manufacturing operations. In this hands‑on role, you’ll support test engineering activities within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, working directly with production teams to improve test processes, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to the development of next‑generation manufacturing test solutions for mission‑critical electronic systems.

Onsite: Hudson, NH

Job Responsibilities

• Support the development, debug, and validation of automated test procedures for high‑speed Processing Modules on the production floor
• Assist in troubleshooting test failures and collaborate with engineering to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Contribute to manufacturing process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing test yield, throughput, and efficiency
• Help design, build, and qualify test fixtures and equipment used in production test stations
• Analyze test data to identify trends, recurring failures, and opportunities for process optimization
• Create and maintain test documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Design Engineering teams to resolve production issues in real time
• Support new product introduction (NPI) activities by helping transition test processes from engineering to production
• Perform calibration checks and routine maintenance/inventory of manufacturing test equipment
• Provide general engineering support to test engineers and production technicians as needed

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical discipline
• A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the review process
• Familiarity with a modern scripting language, such as Python, for test automation
• Basic understanding of electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, logic analyzers)
• Exposure to digital and analog circuit fundamentals
• Familiarity with Linux development environments and tools
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as GIT/BitBucket for version control
• Familiarity with AI tools to support engineering productivity and problem solving

Full time Equivalent Job Grade Salary Range for this position:

$17.00 - 38.00/hour, Mercury considers a variety of factors to determine individual base salary offers to candidates, including:

• the role and related responsibilities;
• prior work experience;

• internal equity with others employed by Mercury in similar roles;
• geographic location; and
• alignment with market data.
