Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineering Intern for Hudson, NH, May–Aug 2027. On-site role supporting test procedures, fixture design, and data-driven process improvements in high-speed processing module manufacturing.

You will work with production teams to troubleshoot, optimize test yields, and contribute to NPI test transitions, with a focus on learning and practical impact in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Familiarity with Python for test automation and modern scripting.
  • Exposure to electronic test equipment and test fixtures.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, debug, and validation of automated test procedures for high-speed Processing Modules on the production floor
  • Assist in troubleshooting test failures and collaborate with engineering to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Contribute to manufacturing process improvement initiatives to increase test yield, throughput, and efficiency
  • Help design, build, and qualify test fixtures and equipment used in production test stations
  • Analyze test data to identify trends and opportunities for process optimization
  • Create and maintain test documentation, work instructions, and SOPs
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Design Engineering to resolve production issues in real time
  • Support NPI activities by transitioning test processes from engineering to production
  • Perform calibration checks and routine maintenance/inventory of test equipment
  • Provide general engineering support to test engineers and production technicians

Mercury Systems is seeking a motivated and innovative Manufacturing Test Engineering Intern eager to learn, contribute, and bring fresh ideas to our high-speed Processing Module manufacturing operations. In this hands‑on role, you'll support test engineering activities within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, working directly with production teams to improve test processes, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to the development of next‑generation manufacturing test solutions for mission‑critical electronic systems.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support the development, debug, and validation of automated test procedures for high-speed Processing Modules on the production floor
  • Assist in troubleshooting test failures and collaborate with engineering to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Contribute to manufacturing process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing test yield, throughput, and efficiency
  • Help design, build, and qualify test fixtures and equipment used in production test stations
  • Analyze test data to identify trends, recurring failures, and opportunities for process optimization
  • Create and maintain test documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Design Engineering teams to resolve production issues in real time
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities by helping transition test processes from engineering to production
  • Perform calibration checks and routine maintenance/inventory of manufacturing test equipment
  • Provide general engineering support to test engineers and production technicians as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the review process
  • Familiarity with a modern scripting language, such as Python, for test automation
  • Basic understanding of electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, logic analyzers)
  • Exposure to digital and analog circuit fundamentals
  • Familiarity with Linux development environments and tools
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as GIT/BitBucket for version control
  • Familiarity with AI tools to support engineering productivity and problem solving

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior manufacturing engineering internship or co‑op experience

Full time Equivalent Job Grade Salary Range for this position: $17.00 - 38.00/hour
