Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking Manufacturing Engineers for an internship opportunity. This position will be located at our Space Systems Sector in San Diego, CA. This position will be part of the Space Systems Sector Mission Enabling Products (MEP).

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Performs a variety of duties in the manufacturing, space flight hardware areas.
  • Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
  • Works from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
  • Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
  • Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
  • Exclude technicians working in Production or Quality Assurance Basic knowledge in 3D Printing or Robotics.
Basic Qualifications
  • A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria.
  • The candidate must:
  • Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2027
  • Be majoring in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.
  • Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
Pay Range
  • At Northrop Grumman, our internship pay rates are standardized and take into account three main factors: the anticipated graduation date of the individual, the cost of labor of the geographic location, and whether the internship is considered technical or administrative.
  • Bachelors: $26.75 - $32.50
  • Masters: $38.00 - $40.00 campusjobs
