Job summary

Textron Systems is offering a 2027 Internships in Contracts at Hunt Valley, MD. You will assist with government and commercial contracts, prepare communications, and maintain contract records as part of a 10-week summer program.

This paid internship includes mentorship, training, and real project experience while exploring a career in contracts and compliance within a global Fortune 500 company.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor’s degree in a Business degree (including Business Administration, Accounting, Finance and Economics), legal studies, or other related degree fields.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work directly with a team and to work independently to utilize research techniques to resolve issues, recognize potential and existing problems/challenges, and make timely decisions to ensure their resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in a variety of administrative duties for government, commercial and international contracts, proposals, contract review, and contract closeout.
  • Preparing and coordinating internal and external business correspondence.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete contract files and records for the company.
  • Performing tasks in support both internal and external audit teams.
  • Reviewing and processing Non-Disclosure Agreements.
  • Performing other contract-related duties as assigned.

A Day in the Life of a Contracts Intern:

Textron’s compensation package includes competitive base pay and provides eligible employees with benefit programs. The pay range should be used as a general guide only. Compensation is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. In compliance with the local pay transparency law, the pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour.
