Job summary

Textron is seeking a 2027 Contracts Intern for an on-site, 10-week summer program in Hunt Valley, MD. You will assist with government, commercial, and international contracts, prepare communications, and maintain contract files to support ongoing program work.

Qualified candidates are pursuing or have completed a bachelor’s degree in Business or related fields, able to work in teams and independently, and demonstrate strong ethics and communication skills; U.S.

About This Role

A Day in the Life of a Contracts Intern:

• Assisting in a variety of administrative duties for government, commercial and international contracts, proposals, contract review, and contract closeout

• Preparing and coordinating internal and external business correspondence

• Maintaining accurate and complete contract files and records for the company

• Performing tasks in support both internal and external audit teams

• Reviewing and processing Non-Disclosure Agreements

• Performing other contract-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor’s degree in a Business degree (including Business Administration, Accounting, Finance and Economics), legal studies, or other related degree fields.

• Ability to work directly with a team and to work independently to utilize research techniques to resolve issues, recognize potential and existing problems/challenges, and make timely decisions to ensure their resolution.

• Strong ethics, values and integrity.

• Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, coordinate multiple work assignments, and meet critical deadlines.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• This position requires an individual to be a U.S citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance

Textron’s compensation package includes competitive base pay and provides eligible employees with benefit programs. The pay range should be used as a general guide only. Compensation is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

In compliance with the local pay transparency law, the pay range for this position is

$23.00 - $26.00 per hour.
