The Sherwin-Williams Company is offering a Finance Intern position at our Buford, Georgia site. The program runs May 24, 2027 to July 30, 2027 and provides exposure to core finance processes within our manufacturing/distribution environment.

Responsibilities include assisting the Finance Manager with daily activities, managing POs in eAM, preparing tax reports, and supporting month-end close. You will participate in digital interviews and manager interviews as part of the selection process.

• Must be enrolled in a college or university during internship or co-op program
• At least one year of work experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
• Pursuing a Finance/Accounting/Business Administration degree

The Finance Intern is \"hosted\" by the Finance Department at one of our manufacturing/distribution facilities, or headquarters.The identified candidate for this program will start May 24, 2027 and end on July 30, 2027 at our Buford, Georgia site.

Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Finance Manager with:

• Assume daily production activity is processed timely and accurately.
• Maintain purchase order and receiving expenses and material through Enterprise Asset Management (eAM).
• Provide reporting information for management regarding purchases and open Point of Sales
• Act as a resource for questions regarding purchase orders.
• Ensure purchase orders in eAM are processed through Accounts Payable (AP), provide support in obtaining outstanding invoices and processing and ensuring accounts filing.
• Prepare monthly use of tax reports for the State and analyze invoices for proper tax assessment.
• Close batch tickets and ensure timely and accurate accounting of raw materials.
• Reconcile finishing goods and movement of finished goods between the distribution center and direct shipments.
• Review of batch tickets and investigate variances.
• Support and participate in employee engagement initiatives and site events to promote a positive and workplace culture
• Assist in closing financial data to general ledger on a monthly basis.
• Assist in investigation of monthly account reconciliations.
• Engage in early career development programming, including workshops, info sessions, and networking opportunities through the GSC Program Team

Minimum Requirement

• Must be enrolled in a college or university at the time of the internship or co-op program
• Must have at least one (1) year of work experience using Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Power Point
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
• Must be enrolled in a college or university at the time of the internship or co-op program

Preferred Qualifications

• Be completing a degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
• Have previous Sherwin-Williams Internship or Co-op Experience
• Have previous experience working in a team-oriented setting including work experience, extracurricular activities, military service, etc.
• Be a rising or current junior or senior in college or university at the start of the internship program
