Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company in Birmingham, Alabama is hosting an Operations Intern position within the Operations Department at one of our facilities or headquarters. The identified candidate will start on May 30, 2027 and end July 30, 2027 at our Birmingham site.

Position responsibilities include assisting the Operations Manager with daily work planning, safety programs, production support, inventory and shipping procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a college or university at the time of the internship or co-op program.
• Must have at least one (1) year of work experience using Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.

Responsibilities

The identified candidate will start on May 30, 2027 and end July 30, 2027 at our Birmingham, Alabama site.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Operations, (e.g Industrial Management, Supply Chain, Engineering Technology, Logistics with concentration in related Operations field, etc).
• Have previous Sherwin-Williams Internship or Co-op experience
• Have previous experience working in a team-oriented setting including work experience, extracurricular activities, military service, etc.
• Be a rising or current junior or senior in college or university at the start of the internship program
