This position will be located at our Mission Systems sector in Rolling Meadows, IL.The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Multidomain Sensing, Targeting and Survivability (MSTS) Division. The candidate must:Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2027Be majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or a closely related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degreeBe available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)Preferred Qualifications:Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higherA current/active U.S. Government Secret clearanceIt will be helpful, though not required, for your course work to include:Structured Programming (C), and/orObject Oriented Programming (C++, Java) and/orSoftware architecture (design patterns, multithreaded programming, objected oriented design), and/orOperating system concepts for embedded systems, and/orSoftware development methodologies or frameworks (Waterfall Methodology or Agile), and/orVersion control (Git, GitLab, Visual Studio, GitHub, or Bitbucket, etc.), and/orAgile software planning tools (Jira or Rally, etc.)Intern Pay Range:Bachelor’s: $20.50 to $37.25 per hourMaster’s: $29.00 to $45.50 per hourAt Northrop Grumman, our internship pay rates are standardized and take into account three main factors: the anticipated graduation date of the individual, the cost of labor of the geographic location, and whether the internship is considered technical or administrative.#campusjobsPrimary Level Salary Range: $20.50 - $37.25The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
