Job summary

LyondellBasell invites aspiring electrical engineers to join as a Co-op/Intern, gaining real-world experience in a leading global company. You will be involved in challenging projects across control, instrumentation, and high voltage domains, with mentorship from experienced professionals to guide your development.

Qualifying students are pursuing a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with a 3.0+ GPA, must be 18+, and eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent degree from an accredited university.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot control schemes for processes.
• Troubleshoot, engineer, and improve process instrumentation and electrical systems.
• Collaborate with electrical technicians to support high voltage systems and equipment maintenance.
• Provide daily technical support for instrumentation and electrical (I&E) or control systems.

Control System Engineer:

• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot control schemes that drive our processes.
• Create and refine process models for predictive control systems.

Instrument & Electrical Engineering:

• Troubleshoot, engineer, and improve process measurement instrumentation, control systems, safety systems, and analyzers.
• Provide daily technical support for instrumentation and electrical (I&E) or control systems.

High Voltage Engineer:

• Collaborate with electrical technicians to troubleshoot problems and perform equipment repairs.
• Continuously evaluate the electrical system and plan for expansion and reliability improvements.
