Textron Systems invites applications for a 2027 Co-Op - Systems Engineer (Uncrewed Land & Air) in Hunt Valley, MD. You will work across engineering disciplines to enable the full life cycle of complex systems and support ground vehicle integration.

The program requires pursuing or completing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in systems engineering, EE, ME, CS, or related fields, with technical internships preferred. Familiarity with Matlab, DOORS, JIRA, and MagicDraw is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform requirements analysis to understand customer needs.
  • Develop architecture models to support requirements development and derivation.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to create conceptual designs for ground vehicles.
  • Participate in integration of components and subsystems.
  • Develop and execute integration test plans and procedures.
  • Analyze data from testing to drive design decisions.

About This Role

A Day in the Life of a Systems Engineer Co-Op:

  • Working in an interdisciplinary role, enabling the full life cycle of successful systems
  • Performing requirements analysis to understand customer needs
  • Developing architecture models to support requirements development and derivation
  • Working across engineering disciplines to develop conceptual designs that solve hard problems
  • Performing hands-on integration of components and subsystems into Ground Vehicles
  • Developing integration test plans and procedures to verify product integration
  • Performing analysis of data extracted from testing
  • Driving tasks to completion independently
  • Other duties as needed
Qualifications
  • What You'll Need:

Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor's or master's degree in systems engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering, or other physical sciences.

Technical internship experience preferred

Experience with Matlab, DOORS, JIRA, MagicDraw (or equivalent) or model-based systems engineering are pluses.

Ability to work 40 hours/week (This schedule is on a combination 5/8, 4/10, with every other Friday off)

This position requires an individual to be a U.S citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Textron's compensation package includes competitive base pay and provides eligible employees with benefit programs. The pay range should be used as a general guide only. Compensation is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

In compliance with the local pay transparency law, the pay range for this position is

$28.00 - $32.00 per hour.
