Carowinds is seeking a maintenance technician to uphold the hotel building and equipment, ensuring guest rooms are in top condition and public areas stay well-maintained. The role includes preventative maintenance and timely repairs across electrical, plumbing, and related systems within on-site facilities.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in maintenance, with basic HVAC/electrical knowledge and a focus on safety. Shifts include nights, weekends, and holidays to support guest operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance or relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling techniques; safety procedures.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry skills preferred.

Responsabilités

• Maintains the hotel building and equipment; ensures guest-rooms are in complete working order.
• Ensures public areas including hallways, pool area, fitness center, banquet spaces, and lobby are in good repair and mechanically sound.
• Conducts preventative maintenance inspections and takes corrective action as needed.
• Maintains building, performing minor repairs in painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, or related maintenance activities.
• Communicates with supervisor regarding status of repairs, inventory, and guest issues to maintain smooth operation.
• Completes department paperwork and follows operational procedures.
• Provides guest service according to standards when interacting with guests or staff.
• Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the hotel building and equipment and to ensure guest-roomsare in complete working order and public areas are free from unsightly maintenance blemishes.
• Ensures that all public areas including hallways, pool area, fitness center, sports courts, banquet spaces, stairways, public restrooms, public access and lobby areas are in good repair and mechanically sound.
• Conducts preventative maintenance inspections as assigned and take corrective action as appropriate.
• Maintains building, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities. Makes routine repairs to hotel equipment.
• Communicates with supervisor regarding status of repairs, guest-rooms, inventory levels, guest complaints, losses, and any unusual situations to maintain smooth operation.
• Completes various forms and department paperwork. Follows all department operational procedures.
• Provides guest service according to Six Flags standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions
• Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED required.
• Vocational / technical training in Vocational Training: Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry or related work preferred.
• At least 2 years of maintenance or relevant work experience required.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling techniques; proper maintenance techniques, requirements, and use of equipment; Strong mechanical aptitude and a working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
• Must have ability to operate various types of heavy maintenance equipment.
