Carowinds is seeking a maintenance technician to manage upkeep of the hotel building, equipment, and guest rooms to ensure full operability. The role also covers safe maintenance of public areas and coordination with supervision for repairs and preventive tasks.

Responsibilities include performing routine and minor repairs, ensuring public spaces are in good repair, and providing guest assistance per Six Flags standards. Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required to meet business needs.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of maintenance or related work experience.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling techniques and maintenance practices on electrical and plumbing systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate heavy maintenance equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain hotel building and equipment to ensure guest rooms are in working order and public areas are clean and safe.
• Inspect and repair hallways, pool area, gym, banquet spaces, lobby and other public areas.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs (painting, plumbing, electrical).
• Communicate status of repairs, inventory, and guest issues to supervisor.
• Provide guest service per company standards and assist guests as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the hotel building and equipment and to ensure guest-roomsare in complete working order and public areas are free from unsightly maintenance blemishes.
• Ensures that all public areas including hallways, pool area, fitness center, sports courts, banquet spaces, stairways, public restrooms, public access and lobby areas are in good repair and mechanically sound.
• Conducts preventative maintenance inspections as assigned and take corrective action as appropriate.
• Maintains building, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities. Makes routine repairs to hotel equipment.
• Communicates with supervisor regarding status of repairs, guest-rooms, inventory levels, guest complaints, losses, and any unusual situations to maintain smooth operation.
• Completes various forms and department paperwork. Follows all department operational procedures.
• Provides guest service according to Six Flags standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions
• Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED required.
• Vocational / technical training in Vocational Training: Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry or related work preferred.
• At least 2 years of maintenance or relevant work experience required.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling techniques; proper maintenance techniques, requirements, and use of equipment; Strong mechanical aptitude and a working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
• Must have ability to operate various types of heavy maintenance equipment.
