Tutor Doctor El Paso is seeking an experienced Nursing Academic Tutor/Study Coach to provide intensive, one-on-one support to a student currently enrolled in nursing school.
The student needs comprehensive academic support to catch up on coursework, strengthen study habits, prepare for exams, and successfully pass current nursing courses.
This is a high-hour, dedicated tutoring opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with a student and providing structure, accountability, and academic guidance.
Approximately 5–7 hours per day
Dedicated private office/study space will be provided for the student and tutor
This role goes beyond traditional subject tutoring. The tutor will work alongside the student to help with:
Current nursing coursework and difficult concepts
Catching up on assignments and course material
Exam and test preparation
Study strategies and effective note-taking
Test-taking strategies
Time management and organization
Executive functioning skills
Creating daily and weekly study plans
Prioritizing assignments and upcoming exams
Reviewing material for understanding and retention
Accountability and staying on track
Overall academic support needed to successfully complete courses
This is a one-on-one academic support position . The goal is not to complete the student's work for them, but to teach, guide, organize, review, and prepare the student so they can successfully complete their own coursework and exams.
Because of the intensive schedule, this could be an excellent opportunity for a nurse educator, retired nurse, nursing graduate, graduate student, or experienced nursing/health-sciences tutor looking for consistent hours with one student.
If you have a strong nursing or healthcare background and enjoy helping students develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed academically, we would love to hear from you.
