Nutritional Aide Job Description
Worcester Cultural Academy is looking to hire a Nutrition Aide to support our students and staff. The Nutrition Aide will report to the Nutrition Director. This person will be responsible for helping with food preparation, food inventory, and serving food to students. This candidate will need to have knowledge of general operation of basic cafeteria equipment and follow all State Health Requirements for food service workers. Must be able to properly communicate with the school’s population.
This position is full-time. The positions hours are for 8 hours each day to cover breakfast, lunch, and cleanup, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities:
Food preparation and distribution
Managing food allergies
Heavy lifting required (milk crates; food containers; etc) up to 50 pounds
Assist with inventory of food, supplies, other items
Basic knowledge of production records
Basic computer knowledge (email, excel, computer programs)
Organizing supplies, food items, paper goods
Rotate supplies; FIFO; check dates; etc.
Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment
Cleaning equipment and workstations
Sweeping and mopping floors
All other duties as assigned

Worcester Cultural Academy (WCA) is a free charter public school located in Worcester, MA opening in August 2023 with grades Kindergarten through 4th grade, and will grow to a K-8 school.
