Job summary

Rush-Henrietta Central School District seeks a full-time, tenure-track teacher for integrated co-teacher classrooms in the Alternative Program. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of adolescent development, individualized instruction, and progress monitoring.

The role requires strong case-management skills and effective use of instructional technology to engage students and plan for student growth. Certification in Special Education (Secondary and/or K-12) is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach in integrated co‑teacher classrooms in the Alternative Program.
• Collaborate with a special education teacher to support 8-12 students per class.
• Plan and differentiate instruction, use instructional technology, and monitor progress for ongoing planning.

Job description

Seeking highly qualified candidates for a full-time, tenure-track teaching position in integrated co-teacher classrooms. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of adolescent development, individualized instruction, assessment for progress monitoring, and will possess strong case-management skills.

All classes in the Alternative Program are co-taught with a special education teacher, and average 8-12 students. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of differentiated instruction, strategies for active student engagement, use of instructional technology, and assessment for progress monitoring and planning.

SALARY

Highly competitive, based on experience and graduate credits, per Rush-Henrietta Central School District Teachers' Contract.

New York State Teaching Certification in Special Education (Secondary and/or K-12) is required.

EFFECTIVE

September 1, 2026

Attendance at New Teacher Orientation on August 25-27 is required.
