Job summary

Poudre School District is seeking a dedicated classroom assistant for Bamford Elementary School for the 2026-27 school year. You will supervise students during lunch and recess from 11:15 AM to 1:15 PM, and support the classroom teacher with clerical tasks, grading, and preparing instructional materials.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of related experience; school setting experience is preferred.

• Pay Range: $16.69-$18.69/hr, based on qualifications and experience
• Salary schedules are pending board approval in June 2026 and are tentative until approved.

SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting the classroom teacher with clerical tasks, including typing documents; grading tests and assignments; preparing instructional artwork, posters, bulletin boards and displays; and copying and preparing classroom materials. Assist with monitoring students outside of the classroom.

JOB TASKS

• Prepare classroom materials and tests. Type, copy, collate, staple, bind, and laminate classroom materials.
• Grade student tests and other assignments.
• Prepare instructional artwork, posters, bulletin boards and displays.
• Monitor students during breaks, lunch, recess and/or getting on and off the bus. Reinforce school-wide discipline procedures.
• Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.
• Attend appropriate inservices, building meetings, training and/or school functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSES REQUIRED

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of related experience.
• Experience working in a school setting preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
• Criminal background check required for hire.
