Job summary

ESS Clinical is partnering with schools in Chicago and surrounding suburbs to place Speech-Language Pathologists for the 2026-2027 school year. Positions include full-time, part-time, or per-case with W2 benefits eligibility, typically 7-hour school days.

You will conduct evaluations, develop therapy plans, and provide direct SLP services across PreK–12. Collaboration with psychologists, counselors, and admins supports MTSS/RTI initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
  • Valid state SLP license is required.
  • Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement required or preferred.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with students and families.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations and re-evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy (individual and group).
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on data.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) — School Based

Employment Options: Full-Time | Part-Time | Per Case

Location: Chicago, IL and surrounding suburbs

Schedule: Monday–Friday | School Hours (Typically 7 hour days)

School Year / Contract: 2026-2027 school year

Employment Type: W2 (Benefits Eligible Based on Hours)

Start Date: August

Pay Rate: up to $54.00/hour Real Support. Real Impact.

Assignment Experience (What You Can Expect)

Conduct speech and language evaluations and re-evaluations

Develop and implement individualized therapy plans

Exposure to a variety of grade levels (PreK–12 opportunities) 1–2 building placement when possible

Collaborative teams including Psychologists, Counselors, Intervention Specialists, and Administration

What We’re Looking For
