Job summary

Responsibilities include developing an instructional program tailored to each student, using effective lesson plans and data-driven instruction, and collaborating with colleagues, families, and support staff.

Qualifications

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teacher's License with appropriate endorsement in area to which assigned.
• Possess knowledge of medical aspects of disabilities and their implications for instruction.
• Possess knowledge of resources and techniques needed to integrate special education students into the least restrictive environment.
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans and curriculum materials.
• Possess ability to effectively assess student learning and use results to plan and implement appropriate instruction.
• Integrate technology into classroom instruction to enhance learning.
• Utilize Google Drive for instructional purposes, collaboration, and managing coursework.
• Create and maintain an inclusive, supportive learning environment that respects the diverse backgrounds and needs of all students.
• Communicate effectively with strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Exempt

SALARY:

$52,832.35 - $85,613.64 annually, with benefits; commensurate with experience (Salary may change due to 2026-2027 budget considerations)
