Job summary

Cagayan State University in Virginia is seeking an on-site Computer Maintenance Assistant to perform routine maintenance, assemble and install computer systems, and move equipment across classrooms and buildings.

The role requires installing Windows, basic troubleshooting, and collaboration with Information Services staff. Willingness to travel between sites and lift up to 50 pounds is needed.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a York County School Division high school with at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
• Experience assembling computer systems, including printers.
• Experience installing Microsoft Windows and other software.
• Experience completing minor computer repairs and upgrades.
• Ability to travel to more than one work site during the workday.
• Valid Virginia Driver's License.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Dependable, honest, and trustworthy.
• Strength and dexterity to perform tasks including lifting fifty pounds unassisted, stooping, bending, and kneeling.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly salary range from $13.00 to $16.00.
