The Elementary Special Education Teacher develops and provides specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities. Working under the direction of the Building Principal and Director of Special Education, the teacher evaluates student progress, ensures compliance with federal and state requirements, and serves as the IEP case manager for assigned students.
This role requires close collaboration with general education teachers, related service providers, families, and paraprofessionals to ensure students receive the services and supports necessary to access classroom learning and make meaningful academic progress.
