Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and teach all course materials and lessons for major courses in Elementary Education, Middle Grades Education (Social Studies, Math, English/Language Arts, and Science), Special Education, and Professional Education
  • Provide each student with clear course expectations, evaluations, timelines, and approved syllabi.
  • Use evidence-based research in teaching
  • Provide engaging and relevant assignments for students that demonstrate learning outcomes
  • Suitably challenge, engage, serve and communicate with students to encourage their participation and learning while maintaining mutual value and respect
  • Complete grade books, mid-term and final grade submission, syllabi submission, learning assessments, final exam assessments and respond to student questions on a timely basis
  • Ensure course and program learning outcomes are delivered as defined by the syllabus
  • Model professionalism and serve as a role model for students in the professional, social and civic areas

The Department of Education is seeking Adjunct Faculty for the 2026-2027 academic year to provide instruction for undergraduate and graduate level courses in the following areas:
