Compensation

Click here to view the 2024-25 teacher salary schedule. Rates for this position can be found in Appendix -a-, Schedule A. This position is eligible for medical and dental benefits.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Develops lesson plans and instructional materials, providing individualized and small group instruction to adapt the district-approved curriculum to students' needs.
  2. Translates lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
  3. Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior to create an effective learning environment.
  4. Evaluates pupils' academic and social growth, maintains records, and prepares progress reports.
  5. Identifies pupil needs, makes referrals, and develops strategies for individual education plans.
  6. Communicates regularly with parents through Schoology, newsletters, phone calls, emails, and conferences.
  7. Works collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors.
  8. Participates in professional development activities to stay current with best teaching practices.
  9. Integrates technology into instruction.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.
Specific Responsibilities
  1. Collaborates in a fast-paced environment with students, staff, administrators, parents, and the community.
  2. Supports and communicates with other administrators and staff.
  3. Responds to emergency situations.
  4. Follows school district policies.
  5. May coordinate work of paraprofessionals and volunteers.
  6. Provides input for paraprofessional goal-setting.
Knowledge and Skills
  1. Ability to teach Computer Science, Advanced Robotics, and Web Design effectively.
  2. Proficiency with computers, software, and classroom technology.
  3. Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and the community.
