Job Description

Responsibilities include:

1. Planning a college preparatory curriculum that aligns with standards and fosters critical thinking.
2. Delivering rigorous daily lessons.
3. Assessing student progress and communicating results.
4. Providing individual and small group instruction until mastery.
5. Modeling school values in all interactions.
6. Supporting student success with a 'whatever it takes' attitude.
7. Advising a small group of students throughout high school.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Spanish and/or French at various levels.
• Strong interpersonal skills and character traits such as zest, grit, hope, love, social intelligence, gratitude, and humor.
• At least two years of teaching experience preferred.
• New York State teacher certification in the relevant content area.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Passion for team-oriented, mission-driven school culture.
• Desire to grow as a teacher within KIPP NYC.
• Success in raising student achievement levels in KIPP NYC communities.

Additional Information

Salary ranges from $70,829 to $142,270 annually, based on experience, certification, and tenure. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, generous time off, parental leave, backup care, life insurance, disability, sabbaticals, professional development, and tuition reimbursement.
