About KIPP NYC College Prep High School:

Opened in 2009, CPHS serves over 2,000 students in grades 9-12 in the Bronx, offering rigorous academics, AP, Dual Enrollment, and Honors courses, along with extracurriculars and college/career counseling. Our graduates have high college matriculation and graduation rates.

Responsibilities include:

1. Planning a college preparatory curriculum fostering critical thinking.
2. Executing rigorous daily lessons.
3. Assessing and communicating student progress.
4. Providing individual and small group instruction for mastery.
5. Modeling school values in communications.
6. Adopting a “whatever it takes” approach for student success.
7. Advising a small student group through high school.

Qualifications:

• Experience teaching Spanish and/or French at various levels.
• Strong interpersonal skills and character traits such as grit, hope, social intelligence, and humor.
• At least two years of teaching experience preferred.
• New York State teacher certification in the relevant language.
• Passion for team-oriented, mission-driven school culture.
• Proven success in improving student achievement in KIPP NYC communities.

KIPP NYC offers a competitive salary ($70,829 - $142,270) based on experience, certification, and tenure, along with a comprehensive benefits package including health coverage, generous time off, parental leave, backup care, insurance, sabbaticals, professional development, and tuition reimbursement.
