Job summary

ALTEN México is seeking a Body Design & Release Engineer to lead the design, development, timing, and production release of body components and systems for Vision components. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across locations near Saltillo/Toluca/Mexico City to ensure accurate design releases and continuous improvement of processes.

English proficiency is required; 1–3 years of automotive body experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years experience reviewing, validating, and releasing designs for automotive components (Body).
• Experience or knowledge on metal shell or frame, battery trays, upper body, underbody, seals, floor, roof and panels.
• Experience or knowledge with steel or aluminium materials.
• Experience with welding, riveting, clinching, bonding, laser brazing, paint process.
• CATIA V5/3DX or NX for 3D/2D model review.
• PLM (Teamcenter) documentation and release management.
• Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
• PBOM, eBOM, DVP&R, and technical sheets management.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for component and system level design, development, validation, timing and production release of body components and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate design and development of body systems.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the design and release processes.

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Body Design & Release Engineer to join our team. As a Body Design & Release Engineer, you will be responsible for the engineering, design, development, timing, and production release of body components and systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate design and development of body systems, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the design and release processes.

The area we are seeking currently to cover is Vision components.

Location: Close to Saltillo / Toluca / Mexico City

TheBody D&R Engineeris responsible for the component and system level design, development, validation, timing and production release of the following areas:

• Vision components.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years in reviewing, validating, and releasing designs for automotive components (Body).
• Experienceor general knowledge on metal shell or frame of the vehicle, battery trays, upperbody, underbody, seals, metallic floor, roof, pillars and panels.
• Experience or general knowledge with materials such as: Steel, Aluminium.
• Experience or general knowledge in the following processes: welding, riveting, clinching, bonding, laser brazing, paint process
• CATIA V5/3DX or NX (for 3D/2D model review).
• PLM (Teamcenter) (documentation and release management).
• Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
• PBOM, eBOM, DVP&R, and technical sheets management.

Experience or general knowledge on commodities like closures, chassis and powertrain is eligible, their knowledge can be valuable as well.

Language: Intermediate-advanced English (technical comprehension and international team communication).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs.
• Knowledge of style freeze processes and theme evaluation.
• In-plant experience (tool tryouts, assembly, program launch).
• Familiarity with automotive quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949).
